Made from grenache, syrah & cinsault this is a savoury rose with red fruits, lovely texture and good persistence. Excellent balance & very quaffable. If you close your eyes you can hear the waves lapping on the shore at St Tropez! ORGANIC

Just arrived the latest vintage of the beguiling old vine xarel-lo (sharell – o). This varietal is one of the main grapes used to make Spain’s sparkling cava.  This wine is a still wine, it is fresh, complex & spicey, fresh pineapple, lime leaf & hint of spice. Beautiful length.

The spectacular 2010 vintage is evident in this merlot dominant Bordeaux. Elegant with great dark red fruit flavours, incredibly accessible with fine tannnins & nuances of pencil shavings. Delicious & a wonderful introduction to ruper, juicier style Bordeaux – again unoaked.

Domaine Magellan Pezenas Coteaux du Langedoc 2011, Languedoc

Made from 50% syrah & 50% Grenache on the terroir ‘pezanas’ area, situated on top of a hill with the Grenache facing south, while the syrah is north facing. Aged in 1year old barrels, duty notes, dark fruit, approachable, elegant with fine chewy tannins. Some blue fruit with raspberry & cranberry notes. Fresh lifted acid on the finish. Good length. Organic.

Bright fruit with red notes, some undertones of dark cherry & spice. Vibrant and softens nicely in the mouth. Lovely French pinot that would compare favourably with many Mornington Peninsula pinots!

20 year old vines, concrete, de-stemmed, organic Intense nose of red & dark fruit with blood plums on the palate. It is wonderfully easy on the palate, juicy, elegant with tarry notes and good length, and delicate spice. 70% grenache, 30% syrah. Only 1600 cases produced.
