Bodega el Angosto, Valencia

Name: Bodega el Angosto

Location: Valencia Spain

Best known for: Juicy, moreish reds made predominantly with garnacha (grenache) – and very cool wine labels.
Available from The Wine Station:  La Tribu 2012, Angosto Tinto 2011

Run & owned by the Cambra family in Ontinyent. Their vineyards sit around 550m above sea level on limestone soils in the very underrated region of Valencia DO. A place of contrasts – Angosto is situated in the historic 11th century Santa Rosa Estate, they are quality driven and have a superb attention to detail. They have been described as one of the most dynamic wineries in Spain and their labels give hint of this.
